Raising Awareness on World AIDS Day for the Workers in HORC Project
On World AIDS Day (1st December 2022), HRIDC’s contractor (KCC Buildcon Pvt.Ltd. of C1 Package) organized an awareness drive for the workers and other staffin collaboration with HRIDC/GC-ESHS team at Manesar site office, Gurugram. This day was celebrated globally on 1st December on the theme, ‘Equalize’ to show support for people living with HIV and to remember those who have died from AIDS-related illnesses.
To mark the occasion, we conducted awareness and education session and health check-up camp for labourers at our project site office, Manesar,Gurugram.During the programme various key issues regarding HIV/AIDS were discussed, including its symptoms and causes, difficulties faced by patients, social stigma, attitude of families and neighbours. There was also HIV/AIDS awareness marche from the project site office to the labour camp and neighborhood.The day long campaign concluded with the distribution of sweets and promoting the message of healthy living.
